Student Pet Peeves on Campus

Tess Hunter, Campus Life Writer

Pet Peeves. We all have them. Those crazy habits and things people do that drive us crazy. Here are a few things that top the list of student pet peeves.

Slow walkers

Keep it moving! While we aren’t suggesting you run down the halls, just be aware if you are holding up the flow of traffic in the hallways. Try and travel with purpose to your destination, and if you want to stop and talk to friends, move to the side so others can pass easily and get to class.

Running to the cafeteria

Everyone is excited to start lunch, get in line for their food, find their table and friends and enjoy lunch. But please, people, this is not the Hunger Games, slow down and walk!

Walking on the stairs against the flow

Similar to slow walkers, please done go against the flow of traffic on the stairs. If you walking up the stairs with a crowd try to stay to the right and avoid the middle.

Backpacks

These can be lethal weapons! If you have a giant backpack that is filled to the brim, whether it’s with school books or sports equipment, please be careful. Just be aware of the people around you; getting bumped into with a heavy backpack can ruin someone’s day.  Instead, leave extra room that you can walk safely without hurting others.

While everyone has pet peeves, be aware of what irks your fellow students and try to ease others daily frustrations.
