The Mater Dei Vocal Music department will showcase their incredible talents at a performance at Our Lady Queen of Angels in Newport Beach on October 16th at 7:30pm. All of Mater Dei’s choir works and trains very hard, and they will appreciate all the support they can get from the student body. Attend the concert for an evening full of beautiful lyrical songs, exciting spirituals, and more!

What better season to bake a pumpkin pie than fall? Whether you’re giving thanks or celebrating something spooky, a pumpkin pie can add a comforting, flavorful touch to any of your autumn meals. 6.     Experience Knotts Scary Farm

8.     Feast at the Shortsfest Dinner

Come support Mater Dei’s Theatre Arts program on October 30 from 6pm to 9pm as they have their annual Shortsfest Dinner. You will feast on a wonderful meal and then experience firsthand the talent of your fellow Mater Dei students, performing in their student-directed plays. Take a break from the books and enjoy an evening of fun and camaraderie. Shortsfest is the perfect way to spend the day before Halloween and laugh before the nightmares begin.

9.     Dress Up for Halloween

Halloween is not the same if you’re not wearing a costume. Use this holiday to become the person you’ve always wanted to be. Whether it’s a favorite superhero, dream occupation, movie character or even a funny fruit costume, October 31 is the one night a year when we can be someone or something other than ourselves. Don’t spend Halloween sitting in your pajamas eating candy. Let your unique side show and celebrate this spooktacular evening in an unforgettable outfit.
