Brigette Ramirez, Staff Reporter

Brigette Ramirez is a junior at Mater Dei and a first year staff reporter for The Scarlet Scroll. While Ramirez enjoys covering all parts of student life on campus, she especially enjoys covering sports. Ramirez has a unique passion for sports journalism and plans to one day work in the sports media industry. Outside of writing, Ramirez is one of the captains of the Mater Dei surf team and the Orange County chapter leader of the global, youth-led, non-profit organization, Heirs to Our Oceans. Ramirez also enjoys going to the beach, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and watching sports (preferably live).

Senior Troy Cary, an aspiring illustrator and animator, completed his first professional project, illustrating the children’s book My God is Bigger Than You, last summer. Cary hopes to one day be a successful artist, bringing stories to life through his animations and illustrations.
