Emergency Fire Drill:
On Monday, Sept. 18 the school held an Emergency Fire Drill on campus to practice in the unforeseen circumstances that the school has an emergency. During Homeroom, students and staff evacuated to the football field in a safe and calm manner. Everybody stayed with their classes and got to the field safely. All went smoothly and students were accounted for and dismissed back to their classes in record time.
Girls’ Golf:
On Sept. 18, Mater Dei girls golf took the victory against JSerra with the score of 198 to 284. This was their first game of the season and they played with excitement. “I really enjoyed all the fun that we had, and despite the fact that the match was definitely serious we still enjoyed ourselves while we played. Just talking and laughing with each other is fun,” Varsity Golf athlete Angela Liu said. Let’s wish them the best for the rest of their season!
MD Unplugged:
This Saturday, Sept. 23, Mater Dei Choir students will perform in their annual concert, MD unplugged. The performance will take place in the Grotto at 7 PM. It will feature not only a choir , but many solo artists in the Performing Art Department. The concert draws in many supporters of the Mater Dei performing arts each year, as well as excited faculty and students. Make sure to buy your tickets today and support the choir this coming Saturday!
