Homecoming Spirit Week Activities:

In honor of Homecoming Spirit Week, today is “Anything but a Backpack Day” with spirit dress. You can bring anything from tote bags to helmets to carry your belongings, as long as it is not alive and does not exceed 3 by 3 feet. Additionally, the lunchtime activity for the day is Soak-a-Senior/Sophomore, where you can pay one dollar for three water balloons to throw at seniors or sophomores respectively.

Dedication of St. Francis Peace Plaza:

Yesterday on Oct. 3, the St. Francis statue was dedicated and blessed in the Peace Plaza in the Grotto. The Mater Dei Choir sang prayers of peace as Father Mark blessed the statue and everyone present with holy water. Principal Frances Clare gave words of encouragement and gratitude as all celebrated both the feast day of St. Francis and Clare’s own birthday.

Homecoming Game- Varsity Boys’ Football vs. JSerra:

Tomorrow on Oct. 5, the Varsity Boys’ Football Team will be playing JSerra at the Santa Ana Bowl. The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at half-time alongside performances from our Dance Team. The theme for the student section is royalty so come dressed in all your dazzling glory to support our school!
