Casino Night:

On Nov. 8, the Boys Soccer Program held an annual fundraiser event called Casino Night in Newport Beach, California. The goal of the fundraiser was to get as much money as possible to help fund the program. The fundraiser had many casino-like games such as Roulette, Craps, and Blackjack. Many fun games such as heads or tails were also played during this event. Auctions and raffles were another way the team utilized the night to raise money. Make sure to come next year to help raise money for the Boys Soccer Team.

Girls Volleyball vs Sierra Canyon:

The Mater Dei Girls Varsity Volleyball Team played in the CIF Finals at Sierra Canyon on Nov. 9. The Monarchs came out on top winning with a score of 3-0! They will now go to play Torrey Pines in the first round of the Southern California Regional Finals. This is an incredible victory for our Monarchs, and if they come out victorious, they will face Sierra Canyon again at home.

Academic Decathlon:

The Mater Dei Academic Decathlon Team competed in the SoCal Region Round 1 on Saturday, Nov. 9. This event lasted from 8:00am.-12:30pm. They showed schools their hard work, intelligence, and grit proving that Mater Dei can dominate in athletics as well as academics.
