Christmas Spirit Week:
Mater Dei is kicking off the holiday season with Christmas Spirit Week from Monday, Dec. 2 to Friday, Dec. 6. Special dress days and lunch activities will be held all week long. The week starts off on Monday with students wearing all-white, accessorized with cozy gloves, scarves, and winter flares. Students can play trivia games and enjoy free hot cocoa during lunch. On Tuesday, it is Whoville Day, students can choose to dress in pink as Cindy Lou Who or green for the Grinch and join in an ornament-making activity at lunch. Red Cross Blood Drive:
On Tuesday, Dec. 3 and Wednesday, Dec. 4, Mater Dei will host a Fall Blood Drive at the Bristol Lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Students and staff are encouraged to donate blood to support people in need and help maintain the nation’s blood supply stable. Students who are interested in blood donation must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and have a signed Parental Consent for Blood Donation form.
Freshman Minute Meetings with Counselors:
On Monday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday, Dec. 3, freshmen are meeting individually with their counselors for a Freshman Minute Meeting during English blocks. Minute Meeting is a quick check-in meeting that helps counselors identify students who may need help or additional support.
