Winter Rally:

Friday, Jan. 17, will be the Winter Sports Rally. Instead of the usual 75 minute classes, the schedule will be adjusted to 60 minute periods to allow time for the annual event. Students will have the opportunity to recognize the winter sports and show their MD spirit.

No School:

On Monday, Jan. 20, there will be no Mater Dei classes. MLK Day is a day to honor Martin Luther King Jr. who fought in the Civil Rights Movement for collective equality. This day serves as an inspiration to continue the campaign for a just world. “I have a dream today,” Martin Luther King Jr. said during his recitation of the famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

Open House:

Yesterday, Thursday, Jan. 16, was the second open house of the 2024-2025 school year. Prospective Mater Dei students and families visited this open house to witness the great opportunities that Mater Dei has to offer.  These families had the chance to explore the school activities, talk to department heads, and listen to an assembly with Mater Dei’s Principal, Ms. Francis Clare, School President, Mr. Michael Brennan, and Executive Director of Campus Ministry, Ms. Helen Steves.
