First entrance exam for prospective freshmen

The first entrance exam for prospective freshmen and new students will take place this Saturday in the MAC. Testing will occur from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at staggered start times to maintain social distancing. The test consists of multiple choice sections in language arts and mathematics and the results will be factored heavily into the determination of a student’s acceptance to the school. Athletic Monarch Nation Dress on Monday

With students returning to campus for hybrid learning, many of the school’s traditions are returning as well. Next Monday, faculty and staff are able to wear their Athletic Monarch Nation shirts and jeans to show support of the athletic department. With COVID-19 hindering many games, tournaments, and events, external support is necessary for student athletes.

Varsity baseball begins Winter Ball

Varsity baseball begins winter ball, their pre-season play, against Huntington Beach High School at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow morning. Winter ball consists of the varsity team playing a number of non-league teams to prepare for their season in the spring. The pre-season play allows the team to put it’s chemistry and skill to the test and make the necessary changes and improvements before their season begins.
