Mater Dei Choir Fall Concert:
Sunday and Monday, Oct. 22-23, Mater Dei Choir will hold their annual Fall Concert at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. This concert includes performances from Troubadours, Vivace, Concert Choir, Kingsmen, Bel Canto, Chambers, and various other small groups. The Fall Concert showcases each choir’s immense talent as they each perform unique and beautiful songs. “I’m really excited for the Fall Concert,” Bel Canto member Nia Bugarin said. “We have been working really hard on all of our pieces and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

Respect ALL Life Mass:
On Tuesday, Oct. 17, Mater Dei celebrated their Respect All Life Mass in honor of celebrating our Catholic values and the right to life. This featured songs from the choir, and a video showcasing individuals telling their stories. The video featured a Mater Dei student who told the impact he had while volunteering, and an expectant mother. It is extremely important to celebrate all life, and show immense respect for it so we may align with our Catholic morals and values.

Junior Retreat:
On Thursday Oct. 19, numerous juniors depart from Mater Dei to attend the 2023 Junior Retreat at Mt. Kare Retreat Center. This retreat is offered through Campus Ministry, and is an opportunity for students to grow deeper in their faith. The students will partake in many activities which allow them to bond and grow their Catholic identity. Remember to keep these juniors in your prayers while they are away at the retreat.
