Dance Conservatory Concert: Illuminate:
Mater Dei’s Dance Conservatory just wrapped up their Illuminate Concert which showcased the dancer’s amazing talents. The whole concert is surrounded around its theme, Illuminate, utilizing different aspects of light which enhance the theme. This concert included multiple forms of dance, all performed by students in grades 9-12. It showcased all that they’ve worked on this year so far. “I love performing with everybody and being able to put on a great show. All of our hard work has really paid off because we’ve been practicing for months,” junior Courtney Stoneman said.
Junior Minute Meetings:
This week the junior class will be meeting with their counselors during “Minute Meetings”. The purpose of these meetings is for junior students to be able to check in with their counselors during a very stressful year. Students are able to ask questions about their current schedules, discuss their schedules for next year, and ask their counselors any questions they may have. This is a great opportunity for students to make a plan for their upcoming senior year.
Mock Trial Spring Season:
Mater Dei’s Mock trial has just started their spring season where they will be competing in a competition hosted by JSerra. They are able to begin breaking down the case, and plotting their plans for the future competitions. With a very strongfall season, the team is projected to do very well. “I am very excited for the sSpring season. I think we have a great team with lots of potential, and I can’t wait to see how we do in competition!” junior Ole Aguilar said.
