Monarch victory breaks Gaels’ 3-year winning streak
Mater Dei Varsity football defeats Bishop Gorman 35-21.

After winning against the Bishop Gorman Gaels 35-21 on Sept. 1, the Mater Dei Monarchs kept their standing as the No. 1 high school football team in the nation. As of Sept. 11, the Monarchs remain No. 1 and the Gaels are ranked No. 23. The Monarchs will play Bergen Catholic of Oradell, NJ at Mission Viejo High School on Sept. 16.
