Chicken Soup for the Freshmen Soul

Gabby Ross and Addie Hermstad, Staff Writer

This goes out to all the Freshmen. If you want to be the ultimate Monarch, follow these helpful tips:
Do’s:
  • Do ALL of your homework. You do not want to get behind.
  • Join as many clubs as you can. Clubs help you meet new people and become more involved
  • Go to as many football and basketball games as you can.
  • Go to as many dances as you can. It’s fun dancing with your friends!!
  • BE YOURSELF!
Dont’s:
  • Make sure your backpack isn’t bigger than you are. Back problems aren’t fun.
  • Don’t walk on the wrong side of the stairs. Walk on the right going up, walk on the right going down.
  • Don’t block the hallways flirting with your crush. You can flirt and walk at the same time!
The Freshmen’s Perspective:
Now that the the freshman have their do’s and don’t’s about being a Monarch, let’s see what they have to say about their first couple weeks at Mater Dei.

On the school tennis courts:
“There are none!” -Adam
“They are near the field.” -Blaire

“To be a respective student.” -Jason
