Learning to Lead
On Feb. 1, Mater Dei hosted the Learning to Lead program on campus, where students participated in structured leadership activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the event, students worked in small groups on communication exercises, service-oriented projects, and interactive challenges designed to strengthen teamwork, responsibility, and confidence in leadership roles both on campus and in the wider community.
Varsity Boys Basketball — First Round Trinity League Tournament
On Feb. 1, the Mater Dei Varsity Boys Basketball Team faced Fountain Valley in the first round of the Trinity League tournament at Irvine Valley College. The Monarchs earned a 66–57 victory, using balanced scoring and disciplined team defense to pull ahead late and advance to the second round.
Varsity Girls Soccer vs. JSerra
On Feb. 2, Mater Dei Varsity Girls Soccer hosted JSerra Catholic at Mater Dei High School and secured a 2–1 win in a competitive league matchup. The Monarchs capitalized on strong attacking plays and maintained composure under pressure to outlast the Lions.
